Visiting artist programs and residencies bring professional tape artists into your school or community to work directly with you and your students. This program is designed to not only provide students an amazing art experience, but also to provide a opportunity for teachers to learn first-hand how they can run PiktoTape workshops on their own.
These full-day professional development workshops are run by teaching artists and art educators to train teachers to run collaborative PiktoTape workshops in their schools and communities. Topics covered include, but are not limited to: facilitating collaborative art projects, teaching tape art to students of different ages and abilities, bringing students out to make art in the community, implementing PiktoTape projects in special education settings, and designing PiktoTape projects to integrate curriculum.
The Tape Art Crew has been using tape art to teach leadership practice for over two decades, working with organizations and corporations of all sizes. School-wide and district-wide leadership professional deveopment workshops help school administrators, faculty, and staff to practice collaborative behaviors and become better leaders and teams.
